Announcing my mentorship program, and the story behind it.

Wow, what a week last week was for the #KEEPITREAL campaign!
I’ve never felt as proud or as excited to be a woman working in property than I have felt this week. The outpouring of love, the messages of gratitude, the sheer drive I have seen over the last few days has been nothing short of amazing.
Thank you ⚡
Honestly, a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to read a blog, like a post, or share them to your Stories – I don’t take for granted how precious your time is as a professional plate spinner (#THEJUGGLEISREAL), so I really appreciate that you chose to spend it on getting involved.
Thank you to my HMO Mastermind ‘girl gang’ too. You all inspire me daily, and I know your words of wisdom have been so well received by other women in the industry. Your honesty is so appreciated, and a breath of fresh air.
Let’s keep on, keeping it real ⚡
I think we’ve all been craving these types of open conversations and connections, especially over the last few months. I feel more motivated than ever to make sure this buzz sticks around, for good!
In the theme of keeping it #REAL, I actually have a promise I want to make to you all in this blog post and I want you to hold me accountable please. This year I am going to build you all a community, a place where you can hang out with people on the same vibe, with the same challenges and values. Where you can network in a supporting environment, and access the knowledge and information you need to confidently nail property development, regardless of your strategy.
Historically, property development has been a man’s game – but, I think it’s time for a shake up! Let’s change the perceptions of the industry together, whilst also raising the standards too – because I am so here for that.
But first! As promised, it’s time for me to launch something else super close to my heart – something that will help us to redesign the face of the property industry, one woman at a time – my mentorship program for female property developers! 👇

Redesigning the Property industry ⚡
If you’ve been patiently keeping your eyes peeled on information about this, thank you for sticking around! Your initial response was overwhelming (the good kind) and I’m excited to get stuck in with you. Those who expressed interest initially should already have an email from me with all the deets, but keep scrolling if you want in too.
I firstly wanted to give you all a little bit of background to where the idea for this type of mentorship program came from. It’s something that I’ve not openly shared on Instagram yet, so thought it would be nice to share it with you here.
Why mentorship, why now? ⚡
I’ve been asked many times over the years if I would consider mentoring, but I’ve always declined as I just didn’t feel ready. Too many people jump on the mentoring band-wagon but, like anything, you need to earn your stripes, do the projects, make mistakes, and scale before you can consider advising others on how to do it too.
A shift happened to me towards the end of 2020, following a conversation I was having with a close property friend. I mentioned to him that during 2021 I wanted to look for a mentor, but I really needed to find a strong female that could act as my sounding-board and give me support and guidance to enable me to grow my digital offering (more on that later). The friend turned to me and said “but you do realise that you are that person to so many people?”. It really made me think, was I really?
I reflected back on the success of my consultancy business, and setting up the year-long HMO Mastermind program during a global pandemic, and how much of a positive impact both of these have been making on people’s business. It was at that point I knew I was ready to become a mentor (not to mention that I’ve now done more than 80 projects over the years!)
Around the same time as this conversation, I had also listened to an episode of the ‘Women on Top’ podcast featuring a brilliant Confidence Coach named Tiwalola Ogunlesi. During the podcast, Tiwalola said that if you were in an industry where you had a platform to give other women a voice, you had a duty to do exactly that. It stuck with me. In fact, when she said it I instantly felt guilty that I hadn’t done more.
Fast forward to the 17th of January, when I dropped a post on Instagram announcing the news of my upcoming mentorship program. I received a never-ending flow of DMs from females all across the country – many with young children and full-time jobs. Whilst reading through the messages over the following few days, something really struck me. There is an army of intelligent women out there, just waiting to take their first steps into property development but feeling too scared or not knowing where to even start – and I get that! I’ve been there, fuelled by sleep-deprived brain cells, scrolling through countless Youtube videos and podcasts trying to absorb as much information as possible and it all sounding so overwhelming.
I’ll be honest, prior to that post on the 17th, I had never really noticed who was watching me (apart from the people that I actively engage with) but I definitely see now. The #KEEPITREAL campaign was the first step to changing that, but I have so much more I want to do – starting with this mentorship program.
